Breaking the mold

For a new artisanally-inspired line of products, new structures were selected to allow the hand-crafted concept to come into its own.

Apothecary-style shapes and matte finishes complemented the "vintage redux" typography and imagery, while still being unmistakably "Bath & Body Works."

Pure Simplicity Concept Sketches

A view into the concepting process for a new, naturally-derived ingredient offering. New structures were explored to clearly differentiate from the rest of the store.

I developed 14+ concepts which ultimately led to the launch of several iterations based on these ideas.

Southern Charm Seasonal Collection

The 2014 Spring Seasonal collection took inspirations from the American South.

A unique juxtaposition of influences such as colorful gardens, hand-drawn calligraphy, lace, and ribbons evoke comfort, sophistication and charm.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Bath & Body Works
Signature Collection

When I joined Bath & Body Works in 2012 as a Senior Designer, most concept development was outsourced to agencies, with work overseen by Design Managers.

During my tenure, I personally developed 12+ seasonal and permanent collections in-house, saving the company hundreds of thousands of dollars and proving out a model for a more mature in-house Design function. In addition, bringing design in-house allowed for increased internal, iterative collaboration with the marketing and engineering teams, allowing projects to move forward more efficiently.

Over the course of my 3 years, the design team had doubled to include designers and illustrators with most development originating in-house. In addition, the Bath & Body Works stock price doubled in value from $38.83 in November 2012 to $78.25 in November 2015, achieving its highest-ever price to-date.
